In my recent explorations, I've found myself drawn to a post-apocalyptic aesthetic.(like, AKIRA by Katsuhiro Otomo) Perhaps it's because Tokyo, is a city that embodies contrasts so vividly. It’s a place where the rapid pace of life merges seamlessly with moments of stillness, where the old and new coexist in a tangled web of contradictions.
Tokyo is a city that is unapologetically loud, yet, within this bustling metropolis, there are pockets of silent spaces where time feels frozen, and the world outside seems to fade away. It’s a city that stretches out like a nest, filled with layers upon layers of history and modernity, all jumbled together in a beautiful mess that is existed and breathing, and watching you from every hidden corner of silence, in the pitch darkness.
I find myself deeply in love with this city, in all its glory and chaos, feels like my home. Hello my new neighbor, welcome to Tokyo: a maze, a place that could either be a paradise or a chaotic inferno.
